David Underwood on The BusinessMakers Radio Show

BusinessMakers Radio Show LogoOur very own fearless leader, aka President & Co-Founder, David Underwood was interviewed for an upcoming segment of The BusinessMakers Radio Show. For those not familiar with the show, “The BusinessMakers radio show and web site feature the very personal business stories of entrepreneurs, from early stage start-ups, to billionaire octogenarians and all the way to big company intrapreneurs.”

Host Russ Capper & David sat down mid-afternoon Wednesday for a discussion on the early history of TopSpot, SEO, PPC, and how we came to be one of seven Google Premiere Certified Partners. Dave explains how our company grew from the 4 main principals to the now 40 plus Search Marketing & Web Development agency with national sales representation.

The interview caps off with our announcement of our second Google for B2B Companies breakfast event on July 29th at the Westin Galleria. The interview will air on Saturday July 23, 2011 at 9am.

Time To Snugg It Out

For two years straight TopSpot has participated in The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Sugar Land. Last year our staff generated  over $10,000 in donations to help fight Cancer! This year, our goal is $15,000.

We’ve held a golf tournament, CAREaoke for a Cause and many local restaurants have jumped in with us by hosting fundraisers. To date, we’ve raised $11,764! This is the last week of fundraising for our team. We’d love to not only meet our $15k goal, but to surpass it! All for such a wonderful cause.

This Friday ends the fundraising efforts for Relay for Life with a walk at Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land from 7pm – 7am. TopSpot staff and their families, some effected by Cancer themselves, will be on hand to support the team.

Snugg It Out!

model & hat not included

One of our final fundraising events will be an online, social media auction! Over the course of the fundraiser, our staff has had personal goals to meet. When a certain goal was met, that individual would receive a custom embroidered TopSpot Snuggie! Our lovely model Abby shows off the wonderful features of the TopSpot Snuggie. We use our snuggies around the office quite often. Staying warm and clicking away at the keyboard has never been so stylish ;)

Now for the online auction information. We want one of you, our fans, friends and twitter followers to be the proud owner of this stylish office accessory! Not only will you be the talk of the office on Monday, but you’ll know your contribution went to creating more birthdays!

TopSpot Snuggie Rules:

  • Bidding begins today and will end at 11:30am CST on Friday, April 29th
  • Bidding must be submitted in the comments section below
  • Bidding starts at $10

Remember, this is for a good cause. All the proceeds from our fundraising efforts have gone to Relay for Life. We hope you’ll join us in our last hoorah!

TopSpot’s Anita Perez Speaking At SMX West This Week

We are excited and honored for our very own Anita Perez to have the opportunity to present at this year’s Search Marketing Expo (SMX West 2011). She will presenting alongside a panel of speakers on Day 2 (Tuesday, March 9, 2011) of the conference starting at 1:30pm.

The topic of the panel will be Search and the Complex Sale. Here’s an excerpt of what to expect:

Search is well established as an effective marketing channel for ecommerce. If you’re selling books, videos or music online, you probably know exactly what you can afford to pay for a click and an order (down to the keyword level). But what if you’re selling a high-consideration, complex product or service?

If you’re at the Expo, feel free to introduce yourself to Anita and our other TopSpotters at SMX!
