Blog: An online journal created by individual website owners, companies or search engines to post daily messages. Updating a blog is considered blogging and a blogger is someone who posts messages.
Click Through: Action taken when a user clicks on a sponsored link or banner add leading to your website.
Click Through Rate (CTR): The average of click through to a website per a number of impressions that result in a percentage. CTR differs by advertising medium. Ex. A CTR in Google Adwords determines the cost you will be paying per click.
Conversion Rate: A measurement of success resulting from visitors to a website who have made a purchased, registered, or signed up for a newsletter, etc.
Cost per Click (CPC): The cost per user set by an advertiser.
Directory: Categorized listings of Web sites. Directories are hand made by teams of volunteers or employees who hand pick web sites to be allowed inclusion into the directory.
Email Marketing: Sending a blanket email to a database of potential customers or prospects to inform them of important news or promotions.
Frames: Frames divide a web page into sections allowing for only home page data to be read by search engines. This type of structure works as a barrier between the search engine spiders and the content within a site.
