TopSpot Internet Marketing recognized at 2017 AMA Crystal Awards

For the second year in a row, the TopSpot Internet Marketing team was recognized for their data driven strategies by the American Marketing Association's Houston Chapter.

This year, 97 categories were represented with the branding, social media, website, online marketing and AMA members-only categories commanding the fiercest competition and highest volume of entries to date. Twenty-two judges from a variety of industries including online marketing, PR, higher education and agencies and non-profits, reviewed the record-breaking number of entries and narrowed down the submissions to 336 finalists representing over 120 Houston companies.

We were honored to be one of the winning finalists, capturing the Crystal Award in the Google Analytics category for Online Marketing. Entries in this category were judged on how well analytics data was used to evolve strategies that delivered results. 

This recent award further solidifies the results our team has garnered for our clients and our status as a Google Analytics Certified Partner, which we were designated earlier this year. We are grateful to our team and clients for allowing us the opportunity to participate in these events. 

This year, the award was given based on our work with Great Western Leasing & Sales, a new & used commercial semi-trailer dealer.

Great Western Leasing Website

 

A client of TopSpot’s since 2013, Great Western Leasing was in the process of expanding their business to two new locations and wanted to push more trailer sales to support their expansion. Their website traffic from mobile and tablet devices was also increasing month over month but the traffic was not resulting in many additional form submissions or phone calls, likely due to the user experience the visitors were having when accessing the site on a mobile device.

Using the Google Analytics data collected from 2013 - 2016, the Great Western Leasing Customer Relationship Team worked with the Website Design & Development Team to create an integrated strategy that they believed would achieve the following:

  • Drive mobile form completions and increase the total number of website generated phone calls with a new responsive website.
  • Increase overall organic traffic to the website post launch
  • Grow traffic to the website from areas surrounding their two new business locations - Grants Pass, Oregon and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Great Western Leasing’s new website launched on May 10th, 2016. When comparing post launch data (May 10, 2016- December 31st, 2016) to the previous year we saw a 30.8% increase in website driven phone calls. Mobile form abandonment improved by 61.17% and form completions from mobile phones improved by 182.46%. The new website also saw 38% growth in organic traffic. Website traffic from the states representing their two new locations, Oregon and New Mexico also increased significantly with Oregon seeing a 111.85% boost in online website visits and New Mexico seeing a 25.42% improvement.
