TopSpot Named a 2020 Top Workplace by the Houston Chronicle

TopSpot is honored to have been named to the Houston Chronicle’s list of the Top Workplaces in Houston for 2020. The list is comprised of small, medium and large businesses throughout Houston and based on the anonymous survey feedback of their Team Members. Survey questions are focused on 15 specific drivers of an engaged workplace culture including leadership, cooperation, communication, work-life balance, alignment and connection.

At TopSpot, we know we could not be a successful company without our incredibly talented Team Members. As mentioned in our Company Mission Statement, we strive to hire extraordinary people who will bring the passion, confidence, eagerness to learn and positive attitude that is necessary to set us apart from other companies.

The individuals that make up our Team challenge one another to continue learning and growing doing great work for our Clients on a daily basis. From web design and development to analytics and digital marketing, our Team is comprised of hard-working, compassionate individuals.

Being recognized for this award is something every TopSpotter should take a lot of pride in. We are recognized as a Top Workplace because of the incredible people who make up our Team. It’s not one single initiative, one single person, or one single voice, it’s all of us collectively working to grow ourselves, our Customers, and each other a little more each day.

This past year has been a year that’s shown us who we truly are and what we’re about. We’ve relied on our values to navigate us and with resiliency, our Team has accomplished incredible things to evolve our Clients’ digital presence, but also evolve TopSpot in many ways.

While this year presented some unique challenges, our Team has come together through a company-wide challenge to use video on internal and client calls whenever possible, cross-department trainings and collaborations along with Friday afternoon emails from TopSpot’s Director of People Experience that highlight our Team’s client feedback and strategy wins for the week.

Our Team’s resiliency and creativity have shown through in a variety of ways including virtual team bonding events, interesting classes taught by other Team Members, celebrations, creative Halloween costumes and even in the ways we welcome new TopSpotters to our Team. The TopSpot Book Club, which was founded in March of this year, is on their 5th book and has seen their club membership grow throughout the year!

130 Houston companies were recognized in this year’s list, representing 57,000 employees. Companies were surveyed this past summer and the winners were announced on November 13, 2020. You can see the full list of winners here and TopSpot’s profile here.
